Start The Day With An Epic Win (Mug)

My son has found a large group of like-minded folk and they now play Dungeons & Dragons twice a week at school, during lunch hour. And he’s been eyeing this mug we created two years ago…

A coffee mug with a 20-sided die design, showing a 20. On the bottom it says #epicwin.

This mug is one I use regularly in my home office, and I don’t think I’m ready to part with it just yet.

Guess I’ll just have to buy him one… from ourselves, LOL. That’s right, we sell ’em – right here on my Ko-Fi shop. I’m sure it will bring him all the luck he needs in his campaign.

Life Is Uncertain – Eat Dessert First

Here in Canada, I am firmly a member of Camp Twizzlers. My favourite combo at the movie theatres is still popcorn and Twizzlers. And when a package of Twizzlers comes into my house, I’ll enjoy them while watching a show, or gnaw on them like Sgt. Rock chewed on cigars in the comic books if I’m in the middle of working on something.

Twizzler licorice sticking out of my mouth.
I’m either deep into enjoying something, or deep into doing something. Do not disturb.
Empty bag of Twizzler licorice.
An open bag is an empty bag in this household.
Me wearing a sock with Trick or Treat on it, with several Twizzler images along the length of it.
I don’t have many fun socks. This is one of the exceptions.

This Is Not A Dream

People talk about comfort movies. People talk about their favourite soundtracks. Well, Prince of Darkness checks these two lists for me. I love John Carpenter’s Apocalypse Trilogy: The Thing, Prince of Darkness, and In The Mouth Of Madness.

I think The Thing is a brilliant classic, but it is Prince of Darkness I’ve watched more than any other John Carpenter movie, flaws and all. And I love that John Carpenter provides the details here of what studio equipment he used in the creation of the soundtrack.

Is this a dream? The final shot of the mirror at the end of Prince of Darkness.
One of my favourite combinations of last frames & movie score.
